Dressing & Machining
Do you have the timber but not the machines to dress it up??
Well, you’re in luck.....
Timber dressing/machining services are now available for both Recycled and New timbers. By dressing I primarily mean ripping, re-sawing, planing and thicknessing.
If required I can also cut your timber to length and depending on the timber (hard or softwood) a few Specialty finishes may also be available.
This service is open to anyone. So, whether you’re a tradesman needing to get timbers ready for your next project, a renovator looking to reclaim some timber from your renovation, or someone simply looking to have a few pieces of timber dressed please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements.
Pricing is worked out on a job by job basis depending on what machining is required.

Special Finishes -
Wire Brush Finishing: This style of finishing is most commonly used on Recycled Hardwoods to retain the aged patina whilst also smoothing the timber surface and highlighting any of the natural cracks and separation of the timber surface due to the ageing effects of time.
Texture Finishing: Whilst very similar to wire brushing this style of finishing is aimed at softwoods. Using a machine that has different grades of wheels to remove softer timber from around the dense grain which in turn creates a much deeper textured finish that both looks great and is also very smooth to the touch.
